Caburn Telecom are supporting Amy Parker in a campaign that is very close to her heart which is to raise awareness and fund research for Cystic Fibrosis.
Amy: “I’ve chosen the CF Trust as my goddaughter Penny and one of her older sisters, Maisey, both have CF.
Maisey was very unwell for a long time until she was diagnosed, but since having the correct medication and therapy she has grown into a very different little girl and doesn’t let it stop her being as close to a normal 4-year-old as possible.
When Penny was born she was diagnosed straight away so has had a much easier start to life. However, CF is a life-limiting disease and both girls will need treatment throughout their lives.”
Cystic Fibrosis is a genetic condition that causes the internal organs, especially the lungs and digestive system, to become clogged with thick sticky mucus, resulting in chronic infections and inflammation of the lungs.
